FUEL BOOST FOR LOCAL RESCUE TEAM
FUEL BOOST FOR LOCAL RESCUE TEAM:
St Michael’s Services in Dumfries are delighted to announce they will now sponsor all the fuel for the two boats used by Nith In-shore Rescue Service. This independent lifeboat service based in Glencaple is funded by public donation only, they do not get help from the National or Local Government and rely on fund raising to provide this emergency service.
Chairman & Helmsman Robbie Cowan said; “It’s fantastic, running the Lifeboat is a very expensive business, one of our largest annual outgoings is the fuel we use, so by sponsoring all the petrol we use on both the lifeboats, is a great weight off our shoulders”
If you would like to help with a donation, we have a collection tin on the counter at St Michael’s, so next time you are in for fuel or shopping & can spare some of your change – help this very worthy charity by donating – thank you.
